Our Story
Electricity has always been a magical force to me – just flick a switch and the room is filled with light!
But I’ve always been bothered by Ireland’s dependence on foreign energy, pollution from power stations, and the high prices that electricity suppliers charge us.
So around 2017, when solar panel technology and affordability started to get really good, I got excited! Solar was the solution I had been hoping for. It’s become an affordable clean way for Irish families to slash their electricity bills. I immediately knew that I wanted to be a part of the solar revolution.
I took a job as a system designer for a solar installation company. While working there, I realized there’s a massive variation in quality and value for money among solar installers. Putting myself in the customer’s shoes, I knew that people needed a convenient way to find the best options.
So I launched EnergyD in March 2020.
Since then, I’ve had the pleasure of helping people all around Ireland on their journey to cleaner electricity and huge savings on their electricity bills.
EnergyD has grown every month, but we remain committed to our original goal – making it easy for you to save on electricity by connecting you with Ireland’s top solar installers.
